This week's episode was brought to us by an avid podcast listener. We are covering communication and improving it with those from generations before us, in the workplace, in love, and everywhere in between. We simply cannot live without proper communication. However, let's keep it very real. Great communication is hard.
Confrontation, conflict, even just misunderstandings add to communication challenges, and when it involves parents and family... this stuff feels even harder. Today, we share our take on achieving better communication skills beginning from simple tactics, to honest expectations, and in the end, boiling it down to the ASK! Don't miss this important topic!

In yet another super inspiring episode of the Level Up Latina podcast, today we have California State Senator Monique Limón as our guest. Monique is a native of our beloved Santa Barbara, our hometown during our college years at UCSB. Like us, Monique was also a member of Hermanas Unidas during such a formative time in our lives.
She is only the 2nd woman and 1st Latina to hold this seat in office.
We are excited to have Senator Limón, our friend and Hermana, cover a few topics of interest; such as, her trailblazing journey which includes becoming a mother in a fast-paced career, taking up space in rooms where no one looked like her, and leveling up her life from humble beginnings to policymaker and public servant. Stream this one now, you’ll be ready to lead, grow, and possibly sing & dance once it’s all said & done.

Today, we bring you another important and honest conversation all about how to handle the resistance life throws our way! Sometimes resistance shows up as people, situations, or even our own limiting mindsets and negative self-talk. Whatever the source, it sure holds us back, and we want it to hold us back NO MORE!
In our usually candid way, we talk strategies and tips from our own journeys, and so many from our countless clients, all of who've persisted in the face of adversity and struggle. Do not miss the words of wisdom that include a special brand of resistance that only Latinos relate to! Stream it, listen, and share to find the inspiration you need to keep pushing with your "why" or goals on the horizon and resistance in the rearview!

In today's show, we hear from a longtime friend and academic educator, Emily Aguirre.
Her vulnerable and candid conversation inspires transparency in all of us. LUL and Emily settle in discussing everything from college to career, online dating to marriage, and finally, infertility to motherhood. This is a beautiful conversation among friends who didn't have the kinds of upbringings where women discussed life struggles such as troublesome periods or hard to come by pregnancies.
This is one you cannot miss.

Our parents' advice included lots of wisdom and a few mistakes and today we share those tales with you!
